Here is the abstract from our paper that already accepted and will be presented on ICC 2014 (International Conference on Communication) that will be held in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia from 10-14 June 2014.

Abstract: A multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is designed to address some problems in many fields. This paper is a study about deployment strategy for achieving coverage and connectivity as two fundamental issues in wireless sensor networks. To achieve the best deployment, our approach is based on elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II). There are two objectives in this study, connectivity and coverage. We defined a fitness function to achieved the best deployment of nodes. Further we performed simulation to verify and validate the deployment of wireless sensor network as an output from our proposed mechanism. We measured some performance parameters to investigate and analyze our proposed sensor-deployment. Our simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can maintain coverage and connectivity in given sensing area with a relatively small number of sensor nodes in a given area.

Our Abstract Paper for TENCON 2011

April 30, 2011

TENCON is an annual international technical conference of IEEE Region 10,the Asia Pacific Region, which comprising of 56 Sections, 5 Councils, 8 Sub-sections, 334 Chapters and 491 Student Branches. Held annually since 1980, TENCON provides an important forum for researchers and engineers from the industries, and professors as well as graduate students from the academia to network and to discuss new ideas and developments in the converging technology of electrical and electronics engineering, computer science and related topics.

The Proceedings of TENCON2011 will be included in IEEE Xplore

Here is our abstract paper for International Conference TENCON 2011.

How to submit paper to Journal IEEE – (Step-by-Step)

January 26, 2011

Last week I’ve send our survey paper to IEEE Journal for Surveys and Tutorials. It’s my first time experience to submit our paper to IEEE Journal. But before you submit your paper, you should choose what the right paper for you to submit. You can check to this link. And the information for Authors, you can read the detail in here. So, this is my experience. I’ll try to explain step-by-step how to submit paper to IEEE Communication Surveys & Tutorials:

  1. Visit the website http://dl.comsoc.org/livepubs/surveys/authors.html
  2. Click link ‘Register here’ on the right side to create an account.
  3. You will need to fill the form showed, such as : Email(s), and Name. There are three screens to fill out in the Create Account process. In this first screen, enter your name and e-mail information into the boxes below. Required fields are marked with “req.” When you are finished, click “Next.”
  4. Then will show 2nd form. Enter your primary and secondary address information into the boxes below. Required fields are marked with “req.” When you are finished, click “Next.”
  5. The last step, you need to create UserID & password. And don’t forget to fill out keywords. Enter your desired User ID and Password into the boxes below. You will be asked to enter your User ID and Password each time you log in. Your User ID cannot contain any spaces; your password must be at least 8 characters in length. If you are planning on being unavailable for a period of time, enter the dates into the “Unavailable Dates” area. Please do NOT upload your manuscript in this area. Once you have finished creating your account, you may enter your Author Center to submit a new manuscript. When you are finished, click “Finish.”

After all those steps, you can login using your UserID and password and then submit your paper.

    Manuscript Submission IEEE

    January 22, 2011

This information comes from IEEE website.

When a paper is accepted for publication (upon completing the peer review process through Manuscript Central), an electronic version of the manuscript will be requested for use in editing and typesetting. Manuscripts should be submitted in Word or LaTex. The composition of manuscripts should be the following: title page, abstract, keywords, body of paper, appendices, references, separate listing of figure captions, figures, and tables.

Title Page: This page should contain the full title of the paper and complete names, affiliations, addresses, phone and fax numbers, and electronic mail addresses of all authors. The contact author should be indicated.

    write a paper

As a student or a lecture or a teacher, sometime we have to write a paper for a journal or publication. Here is a format template for paper as standard IEEE.
